When a school timetable is generated, subjects and activities are randomly assigned to periods. However, there are common events such as breaks or general subjects offered at a particular time for a group of students. Fixing such events prevents the system from allotting the fixed time to other subjects when the timetable is generated.

How to fix a subject/Activity in a particular period.

  1. Click on the Time Table Manager menu item on the left-pane to reveal the various functions.

  2. Click on Manage Lessons and Venues.

  3. Click on Manage Lessons.

  4. Select a subject or activity you wish to fix by checking it.

  5. Click on Fix Lesson.

  6. Choose a day that the subject/activity is scheduled to be held.

  7. Select the period on which the activity/subject would hold.

  8. Click on the Save button to complete the configuration as shown in the image below

How to unfix a subject/Activity in a particular period.

  1. Repeat steps 1 to 4 above as shown in Fig. 1.1

  2. Click on Unfix Lesson.

  3. Choose a day that the subject/activity is scheduled to be held.

  4. Select the period on which the activity/subject would hold.

  5. Click on the Save button to complete the configuration as shown in Fig 1.2 below.
